The Van Buren church of Christ is not a part of a denomination, nor are we a sect (1 Cor. 1:10-13). We are simply a local group of Christians (1 Cor. 1:2) who meet together to worship the Lord (Acts 20:7) and do God's work together (1 Tim. 5:16). We follow no human creeds or doctrines (Matt. 15:8-9; 2 John 9; Rev. 22:18-19), but follow Christ through His word (Eph. 1:22-23; 2 Tim. 3:16-17). We gladly provide scriptural authority for all we believe, teach and do (Co. 3:17). Our worship is not after human tradition but is in truth and spirit (John 4:23-24). Members of the Van Buren congregation are expected to live godly lives, exemplary of Christ. Our hope is a home in heaven. We would love for you to come and visit with us.
